All of a sudden today, I get this upon StrokesPlus v2.7.1 64-bit potable signed opening:
quote: --------------------------- No Save For You! --------------------------- Failed to write StrokesPlus.xml. If this perists, your config file may be corrupt or you may not have permissions to update the file; deleting StrokesPlus.xml will create a new config file, but will have no gestures or actions defined.
See this post to specify a custom location for StrokesPlus.xml:
http://www.strokesplus.com/customconfig --------------------------- OK ---------------------------
and then it closes.
I've deleted my StrokesPlus.xml, nothing changed, I even installed all combinations of 32/64-bit signed/unsigned, same thing.
When I booted from my XP partition, it run from the same portable location just fine.
So I thought my permissions might be messed up, I created another user with admin rights, still I get the same message.
Any suggestions? |

Honestly, the easiest way to troubleshoot this is to use Process Monitor. Exclude all processes except StrokesPlus.exe and only select the Files button on the toolbar. Then start S+ and see where it's trying to access the file and should point you in the right direction. |

The problem was my antivirus Bitdefender free edition. For some reason it started unreportedly blocking S+ since yesterday and it did so even if I had it's monitors turned off. |
