I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts are about the Leap Motion device.
On one hand, it seems pretty neat, but I'm having a difficult time determining just how practical it is. In a kiosk environment it makes sense, like a media device. Easily changing tracks, volume, etc. without having to grab a mouse. But for regular computer use, I'm torn as it seems like a neat gimmick, but not entirely a valuable one.
I've been trying to determine if I want to try to make a Leap app similar to S+. But my fear is that S+ and its user base are far too technical, where the majority of Leap users are not technical enough.
What do you think? |

That Leap Motion device is a failed product, isn't it? I think the mouse is just superior. Motion gesture controllers are cool in sci-fi movies, though. |
