No it does not. It simply creates a transparent window that covers the entire desktop. On that window, while drawing, it calls the most basic GDI API calls to draw line segments.

The workload generally lies in the Windows desktop window manager to blend the S+ window with the other visible windows running underneath the S+ draw window.

Thank you very much. Does the strokesplus have any request for GPU or directX?

I had changed my pro video card from ati firepro v4800 to quadro 600, the s+ is still not smooth. So I think the reason is my os.Who can help me?

Just figured I'd mention it as that is the only thing I can think of.

Certainly I did it. I am network manager.

Hmm, I'm not sure why it would be sluggish in WS2008R2 but not in WS2012R2, especially with that hardware.

Though, that is a server installation, make sure you have the performance setting for programs.

This can happen if you have a low powered graphics processor. I've made posts on this forum about the details surrounding the gesture draw process. Ultimately, if your system slows down while drawing, the GPU is not powerful enough to handle the alpha blending of the gesture window with the windows on the screen and you may have to turn off drawing gestures.
