[Solved!]
Is it possible to have this option?
I would use this feature for gaming mainly. Right now I have to add the game to the ignore list manually every time I install a new game.
By the way, this is an awesome software! I can't use the computer without it! |

Hmmm, technically it could be done, but in the meantime you could also make a stroke that ran your game and then disabled or exited S+ (less running in the background as well).

Or just install all games to the same parent folder, like D:\Games and make an ignore rule that matches on the path instead of each game :D
Edit: And Hard.Wired, S+ disabled uses virtually no resources :P |

Rob: True, S+ seems pretty efficient, but never seems to go full idle unless disabled. Also, I have run into problems with some games and gaming mouse/joystick software while S+ is running even when S+ is disabled. It happens more often with older games. I haven't done a deep dive as to why, but I don't fault S+ for this, since a lot of games do weird keyboard/mouse hooks or have anti-cheat features that don't seem to like things like S+ hooked into the system.

Well yeah, it will never be idle if enabled and you move the mouse at all since it has to receive all mouse events being a low level hook.
Interesting about certain games, I wonder what is happening. |

Perhaps some games use undocumented hooks/hacks for performance? I know some anti-cheat systems don't allow games to run if things like AutoHotKey are running due to the potential of macro cheats. S+ could be flagged for having the same capability. |

Really?! Looking forward to it if possible.

This seems not very practical. It takes more time and effort/steps to have the same result I have right now.
But still thanks for your input. |

May I ask how to do it? BTW, do I have to add the rule for all actions I have right now? If so, that seems to require a lot of work than "ignore list" method.
And is it possible to have an automatic disable function in the future?

I think this be in the Ignored List instead of creating an app, since you want it to be disabled. Check the "Disable S+ if this application is activated" and you can check the "Enable S+ If Non-Ignored App Becomes Active" (lower left area in Ignored List) if you want S+ to reactivate anytime a non-ignored app gains focus. This would cause S+ to disable when you open the game, and re-enable when you exit the game.
Also, your drive may not be "HarddiskVolume1", it could be 0, 3, 4, etc.
Try \\Device\\.*\\Games\\.* |

YES, YES, YES!!! You're right! It should be created in "Ignored List." It works by using "\\Device\\.*\\Games\\.*"
And it turns out my "D:\" is "HarddiskVolume5"
In my opinion, this method is better than "Fullscreen disable option" though it's great to have that option.
Thank you for your help!!! Good day! |

BTW, do you know why 1) doesn't work but 2) works and how to fix it? Maybe "blank space" or "(" and ")" are the issues? (My "c:\ " is "Volume2" )
1) Doesn't work \\Device\\HarddiskVolume2\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\.*
2) Works \\Device\\HarddiskVolume2\\.*\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\.*
EDIT: I figured it out. I should add "\" before "(" and ")."

Another question:
I have some software installed through Steam and they are always installed in the same folders with games.
Is there any way to exclude some folders or .exe files in the same "Ignored List" rule?
Eg: In \\Device\\HarddiskVolume2\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\.* I have 10 folders in it and would like to exclude 2 non-game software folders(don't want them to be ignored).
Is it possible?

I haven't tested it out a lot, but this seems to work fine trying some different path combinations at http://regexlib.com/RETester.aspx:
I used this regex in the Regular Expression field:\\Device\\HarddiskVolume2\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\((?!(ignore\\|skip\\)).).* (where "ignore" and "skip" are the folders you don't want to ignore...I know, should've used "allow" and "youshallpass" instead)
I used the following values for the Source field, separately not all together:\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Steam\steamapps\common\skip\test.exe
\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Steam\steamapps\common\ignore\test.exe
\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Steam\steamapps\common\AwesomeGame\Game.exe
\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Steam\steamapps\common\mignore\test.exe The first two come back with "No Results", which means they wouldn't be ignored apps, since the regex doesn't match on the pattern.
The last two come back with matches/results which means they meet the regex criteria and would be considered ignored apps. |
