For systems which have low-powered graphics processing, especially when combined with multiple monitors [very large desktops], StrokesPlus may not function properly. Symptoms include lines which aren't what you're drawing, gestures not recognized, laggy system performance while drawing, S+ becoming stuck in drawing mode after Stroke button released.
If you experience any of these issues, disable gesture drawing to use S+ without seeing the line as you draw gestures. This is a limitation which came about as of the release of Windows Vista and the Aero Desktop. Drawing a line on the screen requires a hidden, alpha-blended window covering the entire desktop; if your system has low video processing power, you simply will not be able to have gesture drawing enabled. |

You may also try the new option added in 1.6.8 and see if it helps any. In Preferences window, Keep Gesture Draw Window On Top.
It keeps the draw window on top at all times, instead of showing and hiding it, which causes lag on slow systems. It's an experimental feature and hasn't been tested a lot, but might alleviate this issue as long as it doesn't cause any additional oddities. |
