So based on Rob's unconditional acceptance of my favorite mouse mods/features besides gestures (yes, the mouse speed switch and the hide-mouse mod) I was encouraged to post my most favorite utilities which make my days better ocassionally. Here they go, no particular order. All work on XP, not sure on other systems. Do check them out, without them I would be lost sometimes:

1. EventGhost. Perfect free software for configuring your PC remote. Perfect for my Gyration PC remote, I did some really advanced stuff with it. Check out this vid, Logan's got a really cute wife, I'm not shitting you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zosAwpDWNbk

2. AutoHotkey. I did a keys emulation with joystick movement in this (for flash games, so I can play them with my super-retro-cool Competition Pro joystickhttp://www.vesalia.de/e_competitionusbblue.htm). Took me 2 weeks including work on the keys options interface but the AHK engine and its scripts are really great. I also use it for other things.

3. JR Screen Ruler. Ever had to actually guess how many pixels something has on screen? Now you don't have to guess with this free ruler utility. Check this small review http://www.evinco-software.com/eng/blog/jr-screen-ruler/

4. AddColor. A free windows color-picker utility, can make a small screenshot with enter and pick color from the screenshot from anywhere on the screen. Displays the color information for webdevelopers in many ways. Very useful. Can't be normally found anymore, here it is: http://www.simtel.net/free/Web-Development-Misc-HTML-Utilities/addclr23-zip/18518.html

5. Converber. Ever had to convert pounds to kilograms? Or megabits to mebibytes? This baby converts hundreds of units of any category to other units in the same category. Your mind will be blown.

6. Sisulizer's Kaboom. If you ever had to mess with various file encodings (Unicode, ANSI encodings with different character sets), you know I what I am talking about. This thing is single best free file-format file converter that can even load an image (load it as Unicode UTF-8) and export it as Base-64 encoded text. Don't be confused by the price, this software is free: http://www.sisulizer.com/kaboom/kaboom.shtml

What are your StrokesPlus-like utilities that you just can't get by without? I am really eager to know, do share!
